About GR2.2

    As you may know, Galactic Realms (GR) is a RTS, or real time strategy game, for the Palm OS. This genre of games includes games such as Command and Conquer, Starcraft, Warcraft, Age of Empires and many others. Another RTS on the Palm is Conquer!, but doesn't play as well as Galactic Realms. GR is set in the future, with starships and asteroid bases. In GR 2.2, you are a commander, who is given orders by your superiors. The game starts with you (UN forces) fighting rebels, and the storyline slowly unfolds. After about 6 missions, you encounter a strange race of hostile aliens. The story after that revolves around the mysteries of the aliens, while sometimes still fighting the rebels.

    Galactic Realms 2.2 was released quite awhile ago. Since then, people have complained about not getting what they paid for, no map editor, and many bugs. Kyle (Main programmer and owner of CrimsonFire) has released two games since the release of GR 2.2, Kyle's Quest 2 and Welded Warriors. Because of these things, many people have simply lost hope that Kyle will update GR 2.2. This is where GR 3 comes in. Instead of updating 2.2, Kyle decided to implement these fixes in 3. Along with the fixes, he plans to add 3 playable  races, a map editor, and greatly improved graphics. As of September 6, 2002, GR3 was released, w00t!
